With the beginning of a new month comes anticipation. No, not of early Christmas creep (much to the consternation of several businesses) – of the new edition of Project Management Tipoffs, the project management newsletter straight from Arras People. Our newsletter is distrbuted smack in the middle of the month (for those of you who programme your mind around your Inbox, think third Thursday), and tackles a different theme each month with some room for flexibility.
You still have a limited amount of time to get your orbital bones signed up for today’s release of the UK’s leading project management newsletter. Go here to sign up immediately.
Here’s a glimpse at this month’s issue:
- Arras People’s own John Thorpe gives us his rundown on job interviews, providing tips, tools and preparation guides that allow candidate to Interview for Success
- Myself and Lindsay Scott join forces to delve into the world of Job Assessment Centres, which, on paper, may remind many of you of The Apprentice or The X-Factor. But performance in these sessions is not done on paper…or inside television boxes!
- Guest contributor Jill Spencer, Principal Consultant from CITI, gives you some practical tips and advice on finding your way into a project management career through the ins and outs of P3O.
- This month’s Book Review is written by the APM’s John Zachar, covering the popular, recent release from Peter Taylor entitled The Lazy Project Manager. Readers of Tipoffs will have a chance to win a free copy of the book with a 100 word essay.
- Our Q&A session covers taking an assessment test outside the office, and why it benefits the candidate.
